Penguin Random House Celebrates the Contributions of Our Latinx and Hispanic Authors

by Anthony Key|October, 2021

In celebration of Latinx & Hispanic Heritage Month, Penguin Random House has launched #IAmLaCultura! This campaign celebrates Latinx and Hispanic authors whose stories are redefining identity and shaping culture. As we continue our mission of bringing new and diverse audiences into the Penguin Random House universe, we want to showcase a range of stories across the Latinx and Hispanic diaspora.

We are featuring more than one hundred titles across eight categories (such as I AM el futuro and I AM el narrador) in the #IAmLaCultura Hub. In addition to the hub, we are working with key influencers to drive awareness of our great authors and their works. The campaign will also include dedicated emails and ongoing social promotion across PRH channels, including quote cards, author deep dives, user-generated content, and more. Additionally, we are leveraging external partners who have authentic connections within the Latinx and Hispanic community.

Penguin Random House is proud to partner with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation and to support their mission to promote cultural pride, accomplishment, and the great promise of the community through public awareness campaigns. To this end, we will donate 15 percent of net proceeds on PRH.com from September 15 to October 15, 2021 (up to $35,000).

We remain committed to connecting with and engaging the Latinx and Hispanic audience beyond this heritage month moment. #IAmLaCultura will extend into 2022 as a priority campaign throughout the year as we recognize the importance, impact, and influence of this community.  Together, let’s share the stories of Latinx and Hispanic authors having a profound impact on the culture, using the hashtag #IAmLaCultura.
