Penguin Random House is thrilled to invite you to Author University 2025 on Wednesday, November 5, from 1 to 5 p.m. ET on Zoom. This half-day virtual learning event will feature a selection of experts offering advice on the topics that impact authors the most.

Prior to the event, you will receive Zoom links for the sessions and the social hour. As always, Author University is completely free and open to every Penguin Random House author. You can view previous sessions here.

November 5
1–2 p.m. | “Prep, Pitch & Promote: Maximizing Your Podcast Guest Appearance”
Sara McCrea, Podcast Specialist at Random House, and Barbara Fillon, VP & Director of Media, Author Development, will offer valuable insights into how authors can shine as guests (and hosts!) of podcasts.
2–3 p.m. | “An Author’s Guide to Responding to Online Crises”
In this special Author University training, Chris Gee, strategist for PR & communications leaders and CEO of Chris Gee Consulting, will cover strategies for anticipating, navigating, and responding to online crises.
3–4 p.m. | “Book Publicity Master Class: Advanced Media Strategies for a Crowded Market”
PRH in-house publicity experts answer your burning questions about the publicity process and share advanced strategies to help elevate a book’s presence in an ever-changing landscape.
4–5 p.m. | Zoom Social Hour for PRH Authors!

Registration is nontransferable and may not be shared with anyone outside Penguin Random House. Each registrant will be confirmed individually as an author. If you can’t attend the event live, recordings of all panels will be posted to the Author Portal.
