Penguin Random House Ships 1 Million+ Books A Day

The nerve center and heart of Penguin Random House’s gold-standard supply chain, its Operations Centers, had an exciting and enormously productive and collaborative 2023. We collectively shipped more than 430 million books, receiving and shipping more than 11,000 truckloads across thousands of unique ISBNs. Getting books onto the shelves of bookstores around the world and into the hands of readers is what we do best—and we could not have done it without the help and skill sets of our more than 2,600 in-house associates.

The Reader Lounge, a PRH Research Community, is a rebrand of Penguin Random House’s proprietary in-house research panel, where avid readers share their unique perspectives on their preferences, reading behaviors, trends, and other topics relevant to book publishing. It is used in a variety of ways, from testing concepts to genre studies to learning more about consumer needs.

An Introduction to Threads

In light of ongoing controversy and rapid changes at X (formerly Twitter), there has been a race in the social media market for the next big text-based platform. Threads appears to be Meta’s answer to the call. Launched in July of last year, the app has accumulated more than 100 million users. Since it is so new, there are a lot of questions around the app, how to use it, and what kind of content can be found there.
